Course Description

Lectures can be provocative, ignite scientific inquiry, and provide exciting clinical connections. This workshop will address how to include teaching strategies that motivate learners toward application of content, while supporting the development of their critical thinking skills.   

This workshop is meant for faculty who provide lectures across the medical education continuum.

What You Will Learn

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to

  • Identify three key components of a lecture that enhance learner engagement
  • Practice designing guiding questions that facilitate small and large group discussion
  • Promote active learning strategies during the delivery of future lectures
