Course Description
Motivating learners to engage with critical content is the goal of Flipped Classroom strategies. Come prepared to be immersed in a Flipped Classroom simulation; bring your laptop and a teaching session outline to which you would like to add some active learning techniques. Expect to work and learn!
This workshop is open to all instructors of Schulich medical education programs
Participants are asked to bring a laptop and a course syllabus or lesson plan (past, current or prospective).
What You Will Learn
Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to• Explain the rationale for including a Flipped Classroom learning approach in medical education contexts
• Describe the advantages and challenges of teaching in a Flipped Classroom
• Propose a design for a flipped lesson
